The Access & Diversity CollaborativeThe Access & Diversity Collaborative was established in the immediate wake of the Supreme Court decisions in the University of Michigan cases to help institutions of higher education advance their student-related access and diversity goals and maximize the educational benefits of diversity for all students by providing policy and legal guidance on diversity-related issues through national seminars, numerous policy briefs and manuals that address key strategic planning and policy development issues. The CollegeKeys Compact™The CollegeKeys Compact™ promotes college preparation, access and success for students from low-income backgrounds. Close to 600 universities and schools have joined, pledging to reduce barriers to college success for low-income students. Rethinking Student AidRethinking Student Aid brought together a working group of financial aid professionals to study the current financial aid system and recommend ways to make it more effective for students. Issued in September 2008, Fulfilling the Commitment: Recommendations for Reforming Federal Student Aid offers a path toward simplicity and predictability, with a clear focus on students who need financial assistance to achieve college success. The Educational Crisis Facing Young Men of ColorThe Educational Crisis Facing Young Men of Color seeks to improve educational participation and success for young men of color in the United States through research and advocacy. Beginning with a series of small discussions and the publication of The Educational Crisis Facing Young Men of Color, the project has captured the voices of minority male students and mapped their experiences in American schools. |
